After moving and living in Invercargill, New Zealand, our family has become huge fans of Indian cuisine. We have tried every Indian restaurant in town. This time, we drove about 25 minutes away to a place called Cafe Malabar, one of the branches of Malabar Restaurant in Winton.
As for the taste, this one takes the crown!
Big portions, friendly service, and an all-around satisfying experience.
Highly recommended for all Indian food lovers. A must-try. And for the naan, make sure you go for the garlic cheese—the taste is still stuck in my mind (and on my tongue) even now.

As a backpacker I've travelled through whole New Zealand twice and this is the best Indian food I've had hands down. Proper homecooked meal, generous portions and the flavors are all there. And the lunch deal is incredible value!

A must try! I usually dont leave reviews but I have ordered from this place a few times and tried a few different dishes now since moving to winton and the food has been delicious every time! Thanks guys for the delicious meals and fast service!
