Nepalese

Much of the cuisine is variations on Asian themes. Momo is a Nepalese style dumpling filled with minced meat in a flour dough, given different shapes and then cooked by steaming. Special foods such as sel roti, finni roti and patre are eaten during festivals such as Tihar. Sel roti is a traditional Nepali homemade ring-shaped rice bread which is sweet to taste.

Our Customer Reviews

quote Lovely food, service simple and friendly. With a handful of tables inside, AC kept things cool when it was baking outside. The buffalo chow mein and buffalo dumplings are fantastic. Noodles nice and spicy, medium was just right for me. Looking forward to trying some different dishes. I'll post back.

quote **Spice Town: A Flavourful Journey** Spice Town is a culinary gem offering a delightful fusion of Nepalese and Indian cuisine. The menu boasts an impressive variety, catering to all tastes. The service was exceptional – friendly, attentive, and incredibly fast our hungry stomachs were beyond satisfied! The onion bhaji were a delightful surprise, much larger than anticipated and bursting with flavour. The smoked charcoal chicken curry and goat curry was perfectly seasoned, striking the ideal balance of spices. The restaurant's ability to customize the spice level is a thoughtful touch. The spacious interior provides a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. If you're craving authentic Nepalese and Indian cuisine, Spice Town is a must-visit!

quote It’s a little gem tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Penrith. Probably the first Nepalese restaurant to open in this area. The menu is short and sweet offering authentic taste of eastern Nepal like aalu nimki, thukpa, pork momo, buff sukuti (jerky), and others. It’s a convenient option for all the Nepali food lovers residing around Penrith area as they do not need to travel too far to try Nepali food anymore. I would like to encourage everyone to go and give this place a try. You will not regret it.
