Singapore

Singaporean food can be divided into five types: meat, seafood, rice, noodles, dessert and snacks. Singapore is especially renowned for its seafood. Chili crab and black pepper crab are two quintessential dishes that dominate the scene and are greatly recommended to tourists. Another favourite is sambal stingray. In the meat category, Hainanese chicken rice is the most popular dish.

quote I am not sure why their laksa is not featured anywhere in Adelaide. It’s the most legit Singaporean laksa here in Adelaide. It hits the spot and 100% Singaporean. Laksa leaves flavour is there! Not like most laksas here that is completely adulterated. But they only do it only in winter. So catch it before it goes off menu!

quote Bull Creek Hawker has been under new ownership for the past 8 months confirmed with them. Today didn’t seem that busy. The fish wing laksa was exceptional - huge serving (4 wings) and laksa flavor excellent with the thin mee hoon noodles. 9/10. (All 4 other tables had ordered this too! One with the clear soup). Definitely beats one of my faves - Hawkers Cafe in Winthrop now for the prize of best fish wing in Perth. The curry chicken which was my favorite in the world slipped a bit but still excellent. Ordered with a Change for flavored rice for an extra $2. Asked for thighs and legs and they actually provided around 6 pieces and two potatoes in the lunch with rice serving. 8/10. Total for both dishes only $33 - great value. Had leftovers serving size for two was so big. Definitely will be back. — eating lunch at Bull Creek Hawker.

quote Tucked away on Station Street in Napier, this Singapore restaurant offers an amazing fresh dishes. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the sweet and sour pork. This dish redefines a classic favorite—the pork arrives perfectly crisped on the outside while remaining tender on the inside, enveloped in a sauce that masterfully balances tangy sweetness. What makes this restaurant truly special is its dedication to catering to every guest’s needs. Whether you have allergies or follow a vegetarian diet, the kitchen is more than willing to adjust the menu, ensuring that no one is left out of the culinary delight. The thoughtful modifications retain the essence of each dish without sacrificing flavor. In every aspect—from the accommodating service to the innovative yet comforting dishes—great value for money!

quote Food not only smells great but also is exceptionally delicious. Highly recommend the pork chop with tomato rice and satay beef noodles. Very rich peanut favors in the satay soup and huge portions in all dishes. Would definitely return.
