Great South Indian food here, Muthu the owner is such a nice chap and very helpful guy. He cooks most of the food fresh and the kottu roti was just out of the world.

Innovative South Indian and Malaysian restaurant offering dishes from both cuisines and fusions that opened about 2 years ago. Lots of vegetarian options available. Wish we had more time in town to try the rest of the menu, but we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re back as they’re about a 15 minute walk from the airport.

I recently dined at Muthus in Strathmore Park and had an amazing experience! The warm environment and friendly staff made us feel right at home. The dishes, made with fresh ingredients, were served hot and were perfect for the cold weather. We tried the Chicken Kothu Paratha and Lamb Murtabak, and both were delicious with generous portion sizes. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

Muthu’s is truly a hidden gem of Wellington. We dined in a couple weeks ago for the first time and had some of the finest South Indian and Malaysian food in the city. The Roti was the best we’ve had across all of Wellington (and we have tried a lot); the flake and texture was incredible. All dishes were standouts in their own way; the two curries we tried were fresh with fantastic flavors and perfect complexity and I think I could eat a whole pile of murtabak from this place. If you are looking for authentic dishes and great portions this is the place. Thank you to Chef Muthu, we can’t wait to dine again soon!
