I and my family always enjoy japanese food and we tried their lunch menu for the first time. My son flavoured the takoyaki and ramen, I am pleased with my spicy ramen and hubby enjoyed his.
It was not busy, and service was wonderful. Recommended to return.

I went here with a friend on a Friday around 3:30 so we were able to get the happy hour deal (lasts from 2:30pm-4:30pm) consisting of: a main under 23$, miso soup, and a drink worth 4.50$ and below.
I got the japanese curry with karaage and ramune as my drink. My friend got the garlic oil ramen with sliced pork. The wait was very short, but the person that served us forgot our miso soups, and gave our matcha soft serve the same time as our drinks; which wasn't ideal as it was already pretty melted when we we're halfway through our meal.
The portions were pretty decent, (as my friend and Is expectations were pretty low we thought it was massive but its just decent, definitely worth the money) and the food itself was delicious. Karaage was juicy and crunchy, curry had a slight kick, rice was perfectly cooked! For the ramen, though there was a considerable amount of oil sitting above the broth it was delicious. Perfectly garlicky and pork slice was incredibly moist.
There were also a decent amount of vegan and vegetarian options so I 100% recommend!
(At the entrance theres a menu, so you can browse through the food options before being seated, if unsure like me and my friend. Once seated they give you the menu. Right next to the menu at the entrance are utensils and sauces, a nice commodity that I thought I'd mention!)

I think this Sumo restaurant deserves 5 stars. This is our second visit, and all the food we ordered was served hot, beautifully presented, and delicious! Haha, maybe some competitors are sending negative reviews, but as a Japanese food lover, I highly recommend it!

It is my first time to try Japanese Curry. I ordered Karaage Curry (with free miso soup) and the Catch a Matcha Dessert. The Curry is good and filling. The way to eat it is to mix the rice with the sauce. There's no meat in the curry and just a couple of diced vege. I would want the Karaage Chicken to be more crispy though. The dessert on the other hand, is quite good. They do not have a matcha sundae available so I just chose the mix (vanilla and charcoal) flavor. I tasted every element like the mochi, red bean and jelly. I would recommend to mix it all for better taste since some elements are bland, just to add texture. All in all, I enjoyed it, I might return to try their ramens and pastas.
