Best dosa and best south indian biryani.
We ordered mysore plain dosa and veg biryani… we have been to many indian restaurants in new zealand in last 25 days and this was the best we got. The person there was so humble, interactive , innocent and we could feel the happy vibe. Chef was polite and attentive too. They also have buffet on weekend where they serve 22 items at $21 per person with unlimited dosa. I wish we could go on weekend too.

We been there many times. We did not disappointed for being there. The food and the authentic south Indian taste with the freshness moreover the service. Everything is best. We felt like having breakfast at somewhere in Tamilnadu south India.

When we look out for Indian food, there are many options available for North Indian cuisine around New Zealand. The options for South Indian cuisine is limited to rare and if so, not authentic or up to the mark.
Bala’s Kitchen in Hamilton proved to be exceptional.We ordered the Vadai and Sambar, flaky Malabar Parotta and lamb kadai and it was so mouth watering, just the perfect taste of home.
Price wise, it was on par with other eateries across the country. A dish on an average costing between 15$- $20 and the main dishes between 20$-25$.
The portions sizes were good too! It is definitely a good pick for anyone looking for Halal food & South Indian food in Hamilton! :)

The first restaurant and maybe the only restaurant in NZ that has 100% authentic south Indian food 💯 plus even the service is totally amazing.
It's a very affordable (I would say under priced) all you can eat buffet on the weekends.
All of the food is totally amazing and totally authentic.

This is absolutely hands down the best indian cuisine I have ever had in my entire life. I would come back to Hamilton just to come to this little spot. Go here for dinner! Yes! I got butter chicken with some garlic naan bread
