Yes the restaurant may look untrustworthy, the way the food is served is a bit wild too, but forget about it : the dumplings are the BEST of Auckland. Fresh, tasty, for an unbeatable price. I swallowed 30 dumplings and I could go for ten more. The owner and his family are kind, it was definitely a great experience !

I love this place—Dumpling House. After one year and eight months as a regular customer, today was our last meal here. These are the best dumplings I have ever eaten, and as a world traveler, I can confidently say I’ve tried many. The place is small, but the portions are big and delicious. It’s my favorite spot in Auckland, and I will miss it dearly. My favorite has always been the pork and chive steamed dumplings. You get 16 large, tasty dumplings for just $20. It’s a family business, and the owner, along with his family, provides lovely service. While you don’t often have to wait, when it does get busy, it’s worth it because they make everything fresh, not from frozen. The food is consistently delicious, and we’ve always received excellent service. I rate it the best dumpling shop ever, anywhere. Thank you to the owner and his lovely daughter for taking care of us for almost two years and for the wonderful food they served us.

Got the broccoli side dish, vegan pan-fried and pork pan-fried dumplings. This small space is a gem and we couldn’t have asked for a better last night meal in NZ! The flavors were great and mixed up some chili oil and soy sauce for an extra kick! Will absolutely come again to have the stir fry noodles and more dumplings one day :)

Best dumplings I've ever had in a very long time!!
We ordered the pork, chives and prawn pan fried dumplings and they were absolutely delicious, generous portions, there was a whole prawn in each one! The garlic vinegar sauce is top tier along with their chilli oil! Highly recommend!!

Definitely a hole in the wall. Honestly went up to go in and almost turned around because of how run down the inside looked. I’m glad the atmosphere did not represent the food! The vegetarian dumplings were yummy as was the vegan fried rice. The service was quick although there was a pretty big language barrier. The adults who worked there seemed to speak no to very very little English and the boy who took our order and served us spoke a little more English but it was still difficult to communicate. I’ll also note that the dumplings and the rice were pretty oily, but if that doesn’t bother you then definitely come here for delicious dumplings.
