Lovely light and airy, modern restaurant. Amazing Chinese Food, cooked with love and pride. Best Eggplant dish I have ever had, eggplant in garlic sauce on rice. Other dishes were beautiful as well. Lovely waitress, very helpful and accommodating. This must be one of the best Chinese places in Auckland. We will come back when visiting. Sadly we live in Wellington, a long way to drive.

New place in the neighbourhood for Chinese cuisine. Dishes are quite big portion and price is reasonable. We had the dumpling which had really soft dumpling skin and nice filling. The soup is a bit bland though. We had the 炒饼 which is also a bit bland.

We purchased the home style tofu, dumplings, and shrimp fried noodles, and all was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back to try more of Friends Dumplings dishes. Definitely recommend.

It seems to be mainly Shandong cuisine, and there is also Sichuan cuisine. The portions are large and affordable. The taste is OK.
