Order Food in mount-maunganui

Yummy fish and always happy with order but the portions getting a bit sad. This is half a scoop of chips, 22 chips in total, shouldn’t be able to just count them any other place in Tauranga would give triple even for half a scoop should feed two people. And not cheap compared to others!

I was hankering a good Chinese takeaway - never tried this takeaway before - ordered online (really easy) and paid with Apple Pay. Ordered Prawn rolls / salt and pepper squid / meat fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. Massive portions - all really tasty - will be back. The menu display when you visit is pretty full on - way more options than what shows on line so if you don’t see your normal go too on line it’s probably on the in store board. The BBQ duck looked pretty yum - maybe next time.

This local takeaway shop nestled within the brookfield shops is the one stop for a quick feed of delicious fish and chips or some amazing Chinese food, the owners always greet with a smile and they are fast and efficient. Our favorite family meal to enjoy Is their chicken wings with a couple scoop of chips and a fried rice and the best sweet and sour pork. #Jazmine

Ordered from here since our usual was closed at the time. First bite had us excited, nice crispy outside batter...but then we noticed our fish was a bit mushy. That happens sometimes... However, my main concern was the taste and smell I kept getting with my fish. Perhaps it was because we ordered so close to closing time, maybe they had just cleaned something. But It was chemical, like a kitchen cleaner or grill cleaner had been sprayed near the food? I could smell alcohol based cleaner, smelled similar to window cleaner of some sort and every bite of my fish I could taste and smell it. ..this was a major concern for me since I'm pregnant so I couldn't eat anymore of the fish after trying to get the first one down and realizing it wasnt just in my head..the chips were alright, hotdogs were great. But it cost us more than The Mount Fish and Chips and was not nearly as satisfying. Would have been keen to try the chinese food sometime, but not so sure now after today's experience...based on other reviews I feel it was a simple error and something was just sprayed too close to food, but not wanting to risk it again. Update from the next day, I've been vomiting and having bathroom issues. Definitely not keen to go back after this experience unfortunately

I got the chicken fried noodles, while they did taste okay they tasted burned, like they hadn’t cleaned the pan out first

Really friendly young girl answered with a "Kia Ora!". She took the order, read it back. Perfect. I arrived a few minutes early to pick up the order. Young girl who took my order over the phone checked my order and said it wouldn't be far away. Got my order in decent time and went home to eat. Chips were AWESOME. Hot dog was good. Dumplings were AMAZING. We've had some really bad luck with takeaways around Tauranga and decided to try something different with this place and trying the dumplings. We will DEFINITELY be back.
