Ordered online, quick n easy. Went to pick it up and was welcomed by a lady n her cute son, it would have been nice to dine in but takeaway it was. Crispy chicken n Japanese curry was delicious and the chicken n chips was soooo yummy, well everything we had was yummy. I would definitely go back for seconds n thirds. 頂きます (Itadakimasu) Thank you for the yummy meal.

We only found this place a few weeks ago after it was recommended to us by friends. Wow, really nice food, generous portions, the prices are so reasonable and the staff are so friendly and helpful with advice on what dishes to try. Please come try it, you will be happy you did.
After many months since our first visit we are still going here at least once or twice a week, something we don't go anywhere else. The owners are also so happy and friendly, in itself is very unusual in shops today.

We found Mr Katsu on a 2 year old Reddit post on the top cheap eats in AKL (under $15) and we are not disappointed! We tried the Chicken Katsu Donburi for $11 and it was so good for NZ Japanese. Chicken was tender and hot, generous portion and super friendly service! 10/10 will be back.

If you want a quick meal, affordable but still delicious, then Mr. Katsu is the place that you want to try. I love their crispy chicken Japanese curry and beef Japanese curry. The lady that is serving which I think is also the owner is lovely and really accommodating. I always go to this place when I feel too lazy to cook.
